Elon Musk hits back after Mike Myers roasts him on SNL.

In a world filled with more drama than a soap opera, Saturday Night Live has an endless supply of material to work with.

On April 5, the show took a sharp jab at Elon Musk.

Once again, SNL delivered a sketch that humorously targeted Elon Musk, leading to yet another Twitter outburst from the billionaire. This time, Mike Myers stepped into the spotlight, impersonating Musk in a skit about a new Tesla model featuring a rather unconventional trait — a car that vandalizes itself.

Myers made a surprise entrance towards the conclusion of the “Trump Tariff Cold Open” segment, where President Donald Trump (portrayed by James Austin Johnson) attempted to reassure the public after the stock market plummeted following his latest tariff announcement.

After Trump stated, “South Africa imposes a 60% tariff on everything we send them, and they’ve never even sent us one good thing,” Mike Myers’ version of Elon Musk appeared, donning a cheesehead hat, referencing the real-life occasion when he wore one while trying to support a Trump-endorsed candidate in a Wisconsin Supreme Court race.

“That was from when I tried to buy the election in Wisconsin,” Myers’ Musk joked. “I’m an idiot. I should have just bought Wisconsin!”

In response to recent protests at Tesla dealerships and reports of individuals intentionally damaging the cars, Myers’ Musk then unveiled “the new Tesla Model-V — the first electric vehicle ever designed to self-vandalize, featuring self-smashing headlights, self-slashing tires, and AI-driven graffiti.”

It was a classic SNL roast, brimming with exaggerated humor, but Elon Musk wasn’t amused.

Musk, who had hosted SNL back in 2021 but grew disenchanted with the show less than a year later, didn’t appreciate how he was depicted by Myers. He responded on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “SNL hasn’t been funny in a long time. They are their own parody.”

True to form, Elon isn’t one to hold back his thoughts from his millions of followers.

The show’s depiction of Musk didn’t resonate well with everyone. One viewer criticized the sketch as “really poor” and took a jab at the show’s political stance, saying, “Making fun of high-functioning Asperger’s is typical of the mentally ill left,” referring to the diagnosis Musk openly discussed during his SNL appearance four years ago.

Autism Capital, a citizen journalism account on X that frequently interacts with Musk, also expressed strong disapproval of the sketch.

“This is such exceedingly bad taste. Wow. Not funny at all, just mean. Born from hate, not humor,” the account remarked.

While many of Elon’s supporters have rallied behind him, labeling the skit as “mean” and “driven by hatred,” others have found humor in the situation. Some Twitter users have made light of Musk’s reaction, posting playful comments like, “Boo hoo crybaby” and sharing a crying cat meme, which likely didn’t improve Musk’s mood.

One user even pointed out, “Didn’t you host a few years ago? You just don’t like that they made fun of you.”
