Donated RV’s bring hope to families displaced by fires
After witnessing the devastating effects of wildfires, Woody Faircloth and his 12-year-old daughter Luna decided to take action to help families who had lost everything. In response to the crisis, they founded EmergencyRV, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free RVs to survivors of natural disasters. Their mission was to offer a sense of stability and comfort during such overwhelming times.
Since its inception in 2018, EmergencyRV has delivered over 250 mobile homes stocked with essential items like blankets, pots, toilet paper, and pillows. Their goal is to give families a temporary yet safe place to call home as they begin the difficult process of rebuilding their lives. For the Faircloths, the importance of home is deeply personal—Woody Faircloth expressed that “home is where you go and you walk through the door, you exhale,” emphasizing the emotional weight of losing such a sanctuary.
The Faircloths focus on assisting first responders, families with children, and individuals with medical needs. Their network of volunteer drivers has delivered RVs to disaster-stricken areas across the country, including California, North Carolina, Utah, and Hawaii, providing survivors with a crucial space to regroup and start anew.
