Prince Harry has not fallen out with his cousin Princess Eugenie, an insider insists, after Piers Morgan claimed they fell out after he was pictured hugging Eugenie. The outspoken broadcaster claimed on a recent episode of his show Uncensored that the Duke of Sussex went “completely ballistic” after the princess was pictured socialising with him.Harry’s response was understood to be because of Mr Morgan’s repeated criticism of the Sussexes, especially his wife Meghan Markle.
But now a source has told People magazine that the rumours of a rift between the cousins is entirely untrue. They said: “The Duke remains close to Princess Eugenie. They always have and always will be.”
This comes after it was reported just weeks ago that Harry’s relationship with Eugenie was in tatters following the picture of Eugenie with Piers Morgan.
A friend told The Sun at the time: “A dim view was taken of this, as Piers has clashed with Meghan and Harry in the past. Eugenie has been supportive of Harry and Meghan for years and was right there at the beginning of their relationship — but it has now soured.”
Piers Morgan also took to his own platforms to talk about the rumoured fallout. He said in his show: “That [Harry cutting ties with Eugenie] was because of me. She was having lunch with me and a group of people in a pub in London.
“And I was seen hugging them goodbye and Harry saw this and went completely ballistic. I can confirm that is entirely true. Because he couldn’t bear it.”
Since leaving the Royal Family in 2020, Harry has experienced some fractured relationships with his royal relatives, however it is believed the bond he shares with his cousins Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice has always remained strong.
This was confirmed when Princess Eugenie flew out to America to see Harry and Meghan, along with their two children, at their Montecito mansion in California.
