Is Blake Lively’s Chanel bag an ‘Another Simple Favor’ Easter egg?

Is Blake Lively’s Chanel bag an ‘Another Simple Favor’ Easter egg?

Blake Lively is carrying her “A Simple Favor” character’s least favorite item.

On Tuesday, the actress, 37, stepped out at a photocall for the forthcoming sequel in London, looking prim and proper in head-to-toe Chanel.

The star paired an oversized black and yellow wool cardigan with a black mini skirt, sheer tights and knee-high heeled boots.

Lively also carried the luxury brand’s limited edition black and gold Camera Bag ($12,750.00), which doubles as a fun Easter egg, making reference to the 2018 prequel.

In one fan-favorite scene from the start of the film, Stephanie Smothers (Anna Kendrick) snaps a photo of Emily Nelson (Blake Lively) for their sons’ school yearbook. Following the photograph, Nelson’s fairly friendly demeanor totally shifts, telling Smothers to “erase it, or I’ll slap a f—king injunction on your yearbook.”

The subtle character dressing didn’t stop there. Lively further accessorized with stacks of gold rings and a pair of dangling lemon wedge earrings ($66) — a nod to Nelson’s go-to martini order.

To ensure her earrings were visible, Lively styled her long blond locks in a half-up beehive hairdo complete with a diamond-encrusted flower barrette.

Lively kicked off her character dressing at a March photocall following the SXSW 2025 red carpet premiere of the highly anticipated sequel.

She wore a bedazzled peach set and carried a Judith Leiber martini-shaped clutch ($5,795) as an homage to her character’s favorite beverage.

In the first film, Nelson reveals the secret to a “real martini”: a frozen martini glass, frozen gin, spilled vermouth (yes, on the floor) and, most importantly, a lemon twist. “And don’t add f—king ice. Ever.”

The clutch-version of the movie’s iconic cocktail is absolutely covered in crystals of all shapes and sizes, and of course topped with a crystal-encrusted yellow lemon slice.

We can’t wait to see how Lively accessorizes her next Nelson-inspired look.
