Jeffrey Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre, who spoke out about being trafficked by the billionaire to the likes of Prince Andrew and others in the Lifetime doc Surviving Jeffrey Epstein, has been released from the hospital after a life-threatening car crash.
Giuffre announced March 30 she had been given just “days to live” after her car had been struck by a school bus in Australia.
“I’ve gone into kidney renal failure, they’ve given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology,” she said at the time. “I’m ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time, but you know what they say about wishes.”
But People now reports Giuffre was released from the hospital today (April 7).
An update was not given regarding her health, however, Giuffre has since claimed in a statement to the outlet that she was being physically abused by her husband of 22 years, Robert Giuffre.

“I was able to fight back against Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein, who abused and trafficked me. But I was unable to escape the domestic violence in my marriage until recently. After my husband’s latest physical assault, I can no longer stay silent,” she alleged. Robert recently filed a restraining order against her, claiming she had been abusing him.
Giuffre’s brother, Sky Roberts, spoke out in support her claims, alleging she “almost died” after the “last incident that they had.”
“Let’s be clear, she never stated in the bus accident the cause of all her other injuries,” Roberts told the outlet. “But I do think that the bus crash in some way, shape, or form saved her life. It could have been a blessing in disguise.”
Giuffre detailed the abuse she suffered at the hands of Prince Andrew, Epstein and Maxwell in the Lifetime documentary Surviving Jeffrey Epstein.
“Andrew deserves to be outed. He deserves to be held accountable,” Giuffre says of Prince Andrew in the doc. “He participated in a sex trafficking operation with one of the most prolific sex trafficking operators in the world in modern time.”
Prince Andrew has long denied the complaints. However, he once reached a settlement with Giuffre that was estimated to be around $12 million.
Epstein died while in custody in 2019 at the age of 66. Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for assisting in Epstein’s sex trafficking.
